It's 3am December 28th and-not-only-am-I-on Dial up-I'm-at-the-crappiest-keyboard!

 

Sorry-for-the-non-spaces,it's the keyboard-and-Ican't-edit-it-for-some-weird-reason-I'vetriedeverything.

 

I'm-staying-with-Margaret & Graham-(herboyfriend)-through-the-end-of-theweek.They-have the week planned with outtings (indoors) so-it'll-be-more"eventful".

 

They-have-2cats-Grumble,and-this-psycho-egyptian-looking-thing-named-"Cassius"-who-is-so playful & curious that on ChristmasDay-he-started-opening--MY-presents and-freaked-me out about two hours ago by--opening my door and jumping on my bed while I was sleeping.  He's the first cat that makes me laugh and-seems to more than tolerate my presence. 

 

Over the past few days I've been meeting tons of extended family from Bruce, Alison, & Margaret, & even Graam's side and the concensus seems to be that we "Yanks" are horrible.  They are polite, but hearing that I am from-LA gives them this sour look, and I have not only been told that American's and Canadian's are "all the same thing who cares" but that I'm from"Hollywood"- and there is where the world went bad because of all the plastic surgery."  It's no use trying to remind then that Canada is an entirely different country and they get pissed if I mistake them for Australians . . . and it's no use trying to explain Hollywood is over 40 minutes away from where I live and Orange County actually has the highest plastic surgery rate . . .

 

For the most part people are nice, and hospitable, but it's tiring hearing so much critisicm about the US when most of them have never even been there, and certianly know nothing about our political system. (I had to try to explain Republican's vs. Democrats).

 

When I get to a better connection, I'll post more pictures of the past few days.  LOTS of beautiful drives, hikes and lookout points have been documented (along with a shot or two of me in front of the camera  . . . Amira . . . )

 

A final thought before I am booted off this thing- by popular demand, I will now address the subject of Male kiwis.

 

Seriously girls, we have the best looking men..in America!  The accent is endearing until it's-fouledupwithcursinglikenotomorrow(infrontoflittlekids)andloudburps withnoapologyorcaretowhoisnearby.I can't understand them becausetheyswallowwordsandusestrangetermsandphrazesandyell at me formy pronunciation of Nissan,Celica,Adidas,andetc. I'm-over-it-to-be-honest.
